Fishing is being great ."Dorados as this one - Martin Sodre caught- are the normal of every afternoon
We are fishing for them in all possible styles.
Fly , the fish is taking big streamers as well as some foam poppers , eels and any big fly for water movement.
Usually in the evening after we shot 2 cases of shells over doves , we head to the boat ramp(10 minutes from dove field) and in a couple hours any angler will catch at least 4/5 fish.
Live floating bait ,is the favourite of fish.As we are in a roost and hatching area "Dorados are very much used to "baby dove" and this is the floating bait we let drift with the current.
All of a sudden water "explotes " and a yellow fish jump with the bait in the mouth, then is when fun starts......

19/09: OUR TRIP......... Be ready
Guys,
Now that all Sunflower and sweet sorgum is ready to be planted for next year birds is time to have some fun and shoot birds with our friends and clients.
We are going to visit , Blaine Burns at Black Dog outfitters in Tofiels , Canada by September 25th and expect o shoot at least a couple doubes on Big canadians and my traditional "70"yards snow(like the tale of the Jackalote).
After Blaine we'll head to leader , Satcka .(September 29th) and shoot some nice huns while training "Busha Demercado" probably one of the finest "old style" german shorthair .
With this trainning is time to fight the "World famous" huns from Calgary(October 4th to 8th) where Ken, Tom
and Bill will challenge me on their"Grey rockets".
Last time those rockets landed bad, most them forced by my "nickel plated 7's". We'll see this year, I am much better trained.
From Canada will enter into USA(October 8th to 12th) , Redding , Ca. where Jim , Jack and "little Jim" will start hunting thier ducks.
Tell you this... if those birds are one tenth of the stories told about them.... they are something.
Anyway no matter how they are (the birds) , because the hunters shown are .... thy gonna die under my 6's, no doubt.If I survive this team will head to Sacramento.
A visit to Gary Kramer(October 12th to 14th) is a must, Fritz Reid and a bunch of friends will be ready to share about our new dstination... DUCKS in the north of Uruguay , for 2008 where no doubt will be a Duck/Pigeon paradise.
After then will visit the east coast, Atlanta to Visit Ralph Griffin, John and many other friends, who knows some Qual may die also.

03/09: DOVE TIME.!!!
Dove time came.As usual at Ninette doves fly all over the ranch in huge numbers. We are now shooting along the AIR STRIP !!!! this is what can be called NO LONG TRIPS TO THE FIELDS !!!.
We open the bookings for the rest of 2007 and the 2008 season. For those PERDIZ FANATICS better hurry up, only one date is available in May and not many left for June and July.
We anounce the opening of our new DUCK LOCATION , is called ARTIGAS DUCKS and we're the only outfitters for more than 20000 Hectars of rice and marshes. Great hunts of ducks and Pigeons is the offer for the 2008 season , book now for the primes dates (check for the moon, tip of the trade...)

Hunting was great, perdiz gave all hunters a great pleasure.Dogs were well tuned -up , even our "SUPER BLUE PICCARDI", usually kind of the dumb guy of the gang, worked aceptable.
For those who don't understand this poit , the story is that "Blue Piccardy" is a Spaniel, and some friends from Calgary insisted in it as "the best" of all, but ...is not.
Don't feeel bad Bob, we credit your dog is good,(smile).
THE BAD.... Believe it or not, after only 45 years dealing with "all kind of animals" I had no antibodies for TOXOPLASMOSIS , most humen males develop it before teen-age , I didn't.
This mean little protozoarie punch me down bad, 45 days in quiet life , 8 hours out of bed...... like a zoombie, DAMMM.
Anyway, I can say now that THE TEAM OF YOUNG GUYS headed by Gonzalo "G" and Eduardo run with a lot of skill and responsability all the duck hunt .
Sandy at the same time was my "man in charge " at Ninette, and all run as perfect or better as if I was "on active duty"
THANKS BOYS.....you are made of a fine kind of wood.

Season started for the MAGIC COMBO Perdiz is great, strong birds and good cover.All dogs are having over 50 flushes per morning and the dog work is as good as you can imagine.Cold weather came finally and birds are way more active for food, just what dog need.
Doves are as usual , more than you can shoot.Winter roost are set and the famous shoot of thousands of birds flying over your head like bees is done every group.
